Position: Instructor II – HSE

Education: Bachelor Degree, Diploma in any discipline. Relevant Professional Qualifications; TAQA Assessor or similar + PTLLS or similar (Teaching and assessing qualifications). NEBOSH IGC/IOSH Managing Safely.

Experience: Min. 4-6 years of experience in a similar role in HSE for Oil and Gas, Maritime or Construction Industries. Must have experience in the preparation of course materials, course outlines, lesson plans, power point presentations and written / practical assessments. Must have experience in conducting classroom and practical training and assessment. Knowledge in preparing and reviewing of documents related to QHSE. Ability to resolve issues. Excellent communications in English (Preferred Equivalent to IELTS 5). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: word, excel, powerpoint.

Key Accountability/Purpose

1) Deliver and assess professional training by adhering to all procedures in training delivery to keep up a professional delivery standard.

2) Update Company’s Utilization Tracker by recording/uploading correct data to capture the real-time utilization report.

3) Ensure self-competence is met by keeping up with the company’s Competency Matrix to be competent and comply with internal and external standards and procedures.

4) Ensure the latest training Materials are being used by referring to the ones provided by the Lead Instructor to eliminate the gap for non-compliance and deliver the correct and uniformed information to elevate the skills and knowledge of internal and external parties.

5) Invest a portion of 5% from total utilization every month for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) by spending time reading, attending professional training, seminars, conferences, etc. to ensure compliance with the Company’s CPD provisions to upgrade and update the CPD of its employees.

6) Assist the Lead Instructor to design, develop, and implement training programs by adhering to the design and development procedure to keep maintain all standards and accreditations up-to-date and to achieve new approvals and accreditations.

7) Assist the Lead Instructor to identify hazards and risks and implement control measures by performing and keeping up-to-date risk assessments, JSA and method statements in order to ensure a safe place for employees to carry out their daily tasks.

8) Assist the Lead Instructor on marketing materials pertaining to the department/function by providing recommendations/suggestions/feedbacks whenever requested to develop an effective marketing strategy.

9) Ensure competencies in yourself are met by identifying skills & competency gaps and undergoing/providing appropriate training to be competent and comply with internal and external standards & procedures.

10) Adhere to all QHSE policies, procedures and standards by performing required observations and near-miss reports to safeguard company employees and assets.

11) Any other responsibilities assigned by the Lead Instructor and Business/Operations Manager.

Position Summary: Reporting to the Lead Instructor the Instructor II will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day Training delivery assigned by the Lead / Training Coordinator. The Instructor II will assist the Lead Instructor as and when required for the design and delivery of courses, follow and manage maintenance schedules and internal quality assurance tasks

License: Driver’s License Preferable.

Knowledge: of Qatar and International safety Standards.

Skill: Strong training presentation, coordination, evaluation and planning skills. Professional attitude. Time management with the ability to prioritize tasks. Keen analytical skills. Innovative and having a creative approach. A flexible, proactive, and dynamic teaching approach. Good interpersonal skills, able to work in multi-cultural and multi-company environment.

Preferable Languages: English, Hindi (Malayalam and Tamil will be added advantage)
